In compliance with the new baggage policy issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA)- Resolution 302, MIAT Mongolian Airlines implementing New Baggage  PIECE SYSTEM Rule  for tickets issued on or after 1 MAY 2016.  

Free baggage allowance for Business Class Passengers – 2 pieces/ 32 kg

Free baggage allowance for Economy Class Passengers – 2 pieces/ 23 kg

Baggage with Code Share /Interline partner airlines

While your flight may have been booked through MIAT Mongolian Airlines, it may be operated by one of our partner airlines whom we have Code Shared with.

If your flight or a segment of your flight is operated by one of our many Code Share partner airlines, the most significant carrier baggage policy shall apply.

Most significant carrier

a) For travel between two or more IATA areas, the carrier performing carriage on the first sector that crosses from one area to another.

b) For travel between IATA Tariff sub-areas, the carrier performing carriage on the first sector that crosses from one sub-area to another.

c) For travel within an IATA Tariff sub-area, the carrier performing carriage on the first international sector.
