Ulaanbaatar, February 5th, 2020– MIAT Mongolian Airlines (MIAT) and Japan Airlines (JAL) and today announced a codeshare agreement to expand both carrier’s international network between Mongolia and Japan. Reservations and ticket sales begin on March 24th, 2020, for travel from March 31st, 2020. The agreement will allow Japan Airlines to offer flights between Ulaanbaatar (ULN) and two major cities in Japan, Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Osaka Kansai (KIX).
At the same time MIAT will start offering flights beyond Narita, such as Osaka Itami (ITM) and Nagoya Chubu (NGO), in addition to the five international destinations such as Singapore (SIN), Melbourne (MEL), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Hanoi (HAN) and Busan (PUS).
